Payments company BVNK has connected the Stellar network to its stablecoin platform, giving enterprise customers another route for cross-border transfers and treasury payments. The integration is live through BVNK's existing API across more than 130 supported countries. Businesses can select Stellar without building and maintaining a separate connection to that blockchain, according to the companies' announcement.
BVNK reports $39 billion in annualized processing volume, while Stellar processed $55.6 billion in stablecoin payments during 2025. Those figures describe the existing scale of the respective platforms; they are not a forecast for traffic on the new integration. BVNK identifies merchant payouts, high-volume transfers and treasury disbursements as the first relevant uses for the Stellar connection.
The appeal for a payments team is operational. A firm may need several blockchains because customers and liquidity providers use different assets and destinations. BVNK presents one interface for those routes, while Stellar provides settlement on a network built for low transaction costs. Stellar-native assets could be added later without customers rebuilding their integration, though the initial announcement does not promise a timetable for additional assets.
The move follows a wider shift toward payment providers offering several stablecoin rails instead of binding clients to one chain. For Stellar, BVNK adds a distribution partner with established enterprise relationships. For BVNK, the network is another option when routing a transfer. The measure of success will be how much payment volume customers actually send through Stellar and whether the new route improves costs and availability in particular corridors.
