FinTax has completed a seed financing round at a $40 million post-money valuation, with EASY Residency S4 by YZi Labs leading the investment. The crypto finance and tax software company plans to use the funding to expand its products, geographic coverage, and AI-assisted accounting and reporting capabilities.

Participants include Amber, Hash House, Pundi AI, Waverider International, and Nexus Holdings. FinTax did not specify the amount raised in the announcement, making the $40 million figure a valuation rather than the size of the investment. The company is a graduate of the EASY Residency program.

Its products cover crypto financial management, tax compliance, blockchain auditing, financial product aggregation, and advisory services. FinTax said it serves more than 70 institutional customers, including exchanges, miners, funds, and payment businesses. These clients face the task of turning blockchain transactions into usable financial and operational records.

The planned expansion includes Europe and the Middle East alongside its existing markets. The company also intends to improve transaction identification, data cleansing, and the mapping of rules across jurisdictions. The funding supports a business focused on the administrative infrastructure surrounding crypto activity, rather than issuing another tradable token.
