Stable.com Connects Polygon Wallets to Bank Transfers

Stable.com has added Polygon support to a service that lets holders of USDT and PayPal USD initiate bank transfers from self-custodied wallets.

Stable.com has added Polygon support to a service that lets holders of USDT and PayPal USD initiate bank transfers from self-custodied wallets. The platform, operated by payments company Unlimit, aims to move funds into a bank account in the holder's name without first requiring a deposit into a separate custodial platform account. Polygon Labs announced the integration on September 17.

The flow combines blockchain settlement with Unlimit's existing bank payout network. The company says that network reaches more than 180 countries and supports over 150 currencies. For a business paying a supplier or moving treasury funds, the attraction is a direct route from a token balance into familiar local bank rails. The service still depends on the destination and account meeting the platform's requirements.

Polygon's Open Money Stack supplies the connection between wallet activity, fiat conversion and payment routing. Stable.com provides the customer-facing account and transfer service, while Unlimit handles the banking side. That division allows a holder to begin with USDT or PYUSD already on Polygon, rather than first sending it to an exchange, converting it manually and then arranging a withdrawal.

The launch is one example of payment providers linking stablecoins to ordinary bank transfers. It is particularly relevant to users who want to keep control of their tokens until a payout is initiated. The next practical question is whether the direct flow offers a consistent experience across the many countries and currencies covered by Unlimit's network, since local payout methods and processing rules vary.
