Revolut Starts Limited Rollout of EURR on Polygon and Ethereum

Revolut has begun rolling out EURR, its first euro-denominated stablecoin, to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. The token is available on Polygon and Ethereum, with a wider European Economic Area rollout planned later in the year. EURR is designed to track one euro and be redeemable at par through its regulated issuer, according to the company's launch information.
The restricted first phase means EURR is not immediately available to every Revolut customer. Those with access can hold it within the company's services, while broader movement to outside wallets depends on liquidity and product availability. Revolut says it is exploring stablecoins linked to other currencies through separate regulatory processes. The euro token is therefore a starting point for its own issuance plans, rather than an instant multi-currency lineup.
Polygon says Revolut already supports transfers of USDC and USDT on its network, alongside trading and staking of POL. EURR adds a local-currency asset to that connection. A customer who earns and spends in euros could use a euro token without first converting into a dollar stablecoin and accepting currency exposure. Ethereum gives the new asset a second network from launch.
The product arrives as European stablecoin issuers operate under the EU's MiCA rules. Revolut's large user base could provide distribution, but the staged availability is an important limit on near-term adoption. The useful indicators will be where EURR becomes available next, whether customers can move it freely between supported wallets and whether euro-denominated payments develop beyond simply holding a token in an app.
