Zama opens 16 private Morpho vaults after first product reaches $40 million

Zama has opened deposits into 16 confidential Morpho vaults, expanding a product range designed to keep investors' positions private on Ethereum. The rollout follows its first vault reaching $40 million in total value locked within seven weeks, according to the project, providing an early measure of demand.

The new lineup supports assets including USDC, USDT, AUSD, and TGBP. Twelve products provide confidential access to existing Morpho vaults, while four were built specifically for confidential deposits. Curators include Steakhouse Financial, Armitage by Wintermute, Flowdesk, RockawayX, and Bitwise, giving users several strategy managers to choose from.

Zama is also introducing a swap protocol covering confidential versions of the supported assets and vault shares. The project says users can exchange those positions without publicly revealing transaction size or intent. This addresses a concern for businesses whose holdings and strategies would otherwise be visible to competitors.

The vaults are initially available through Zama's application, with Utila, Zerion Wallet, and Yield.xyz expected to add access in the following weeks. The rollout links privacy to existing lending products, making integration and usability the next practical tests after the first vault's reported growth.
